The basketball season of 2021-2022 has been a grueling and challenging journey, but the perservence of Coyote basketball has paid off. Cerro Coso basketball finished the season with a 22-6 overall record and with that, awarded the number 11(12) seeding in the CCCMBA Southern California postseason tournament. This will mark the second time that Cerro Coso basketball has made the postseason, a 23 year long drought since 1999 when Cerro Coso knocked of the #1 seed of Santa Monica College. This year's team has been remarkable to follow as Coach Dugan has assembled tremendous talent on the court this season. In record breaking fashion the Coyote's 22 regular season wins is the most in school history and the team ranked as high as #10 in Southern California polls and #19 in the state polls, both all time highs for the program. Cerro Coso was also recognized with it's share of all conference selections this season: Josh Miller (1st Team IEAC), Daron Hall (2nd Team IEAC), Jordan Howard (2nd Team IEAC), Devontae Lyles (2nd Team IEAC).

One game at a time is the approach to be taken for the Cerro Coso Men's Basketball team, as the CCCAA basketball post season is formatted with the winning team advancing from each contest, until the eventual remaining four teams meet in a Final Four format for the CCCAA state championship held at West Hills College Lemoore.

#11 Cerro Coso (22-6, 12-4) will host #21 MiraCosta College (14-14, 10-6) this Tuesday, March 1 for a 7:00pm tip-off at the Cerro Coso Gym.
