The Cerro Coso Coyote Basketball team was able to secure a hard fought win against perineal strength MSJC at home on Saturday by the score of 79-77. The victory moves the Coyotes to 15-4 overall/6-2 in IEAC play and positions the team with a strong hold towards the top of conference standings.

The game was closely contested and ended up changing leads multiple times in the closing minutes of the game. With 8 seconds remaining on the clock, the Coyotes inbounded the ball on their side of the court and quickly got the ball into sharp shooter, Daron Hall's hands. From there, Hall demonstrated some shifty moves and dribbled into the key and then shook off his defender before floating the game winning bucket through the hoop with .4 seconds remaining. Fortunately for the Coyotes, the Eagles were unable to transition the ball down the court in time as they heaved a desperate half court shot which fell short.

Cerro Coso has maintained their position in the south and according the Winning Percentage Index, have maintained a number 9 spot in Southern California. The Coyotes travel to Chaffey College on Wednesday to take on the Panthers in conference play.
