The Cerro Coso Coyote Basketball team is off to a strong start to open the 2019-2020 season. The Coyotes are currently 5-1 early in their campaign which can be attributed to the team's versatility and unselfish level of play. Coach Chris Dugan emphasizes the point that during any given game you never know who the leading scorer might be, which is a testament to the style of program and team concept that is preached. The Coyotes have enjoyed a solid foundation built by returners Jonathan Foster, Jordan Pumphrey, Vernon Hardison, and Isiah Thomas, three of which have been leading scorers in different games, combined with the shooting strength of Haven Ousley have made the Coyotes tough to defend. Cerro Coso returns to the court next week at West Hills and continue their first half on the road until December 31, when the Coyotes open up at home against Mt. San Antonio.
