The Cerro Coso baseball team has been seeded as #17 in Southern California, and are scheduled to play against #16 College of the Canyons in a single elimination game. Cerro Coso (24-16, 16-8) completed a three game sweep of conference foe San Bernardino Valley College in order to represent the IEAC as the second team playing in the Souther California Regional. The Coyotes have been saving their best for last as they have won 6 out of their last 7 games. Coach Scott and the players battled the entire season, which has had its challenges, but the Coyotes demonstrated a tremendous amount of tenacity and lately have found team chemistry working towards winning all parts of the game in pitching, offense and defense. 

College of Canyons (20-20, 12-9) will enter the playoff contest as the #16 seed in the south. The Cougars finished in fourth place in the Western State-South conference.
