Today, the Cerro Coso Baseball team will face Porterville College for the second time this season following their season opener on 1/28/22. The opening game proved to be a strong start for the Coyotes as they jumped out to an early first inning 2-0 leadoff following a leadoff single by Johnny McHenry who later scored on a RBI by Danny Jimenez. From that point, starting pitcher Jax Holzem took command by shutting down the Pirates for a scoreless 5 innings. The game ended in an 11-2 win for the Coyotes.

Cerro Coso returned home on Saturday for their home opener against Imperial Valley, in a match-up that proved to be too much for IVC to handle. In a game challenged by the IVC pitching staff, Cerro Coso was able to plate 20 runs leading to a 20-1 win for the Coyotes.

Today's contest against Coso (2-0) and PC (1-1) will open up with a 2:00pm first pitch, and will mark the second game of four total matchups between these two teams.  Later this week, the Coyotes will be heading to Southwestern College for a three game series on Friday and Saturday. #HowlYes #MakeYourMark
