The Lady Coyotes traveled to Copper Mountain College on Friday, and took the Fighting Cacti down in five sets to earn a 3-2 victory. Cerro Coso came out firing in game 1, earning a quick victory which lead many to believe that it would be a quick match. But the Fighting Cacti would not go down so easy, as they earned wins in sets 2 and 3, putting the Coyotes behind 1-2 on the match. However, the Coyotes dug deep and rallied for a come from behind win in the 4th set, and would eventually run away with the win in the 5th. Cerro Coso returns home for some needed rest this week, as they look to get back into IEAC competition Friday, October 20th, as they play host to San Bernardino Valley College at the Raymond McCue Gymnasium (Cerro Coso Community College).
