The Cerro Coso Softball team (0-7, 4-21) heads to Palm Desert this Friday to take on IEAC foe, College of the Desert (3-3, 6-16) for the first time this season. The Lady Coyotes have taken some knocks this spring, but have continued to get back up and continue to fight for their season. Earlier this week the Coyotes were within striking distance going into the bottom half of the seventh inning. Trailing by two runs, the Coyotes battled to put runners into scoring position but were unable to capitalize on their opportunity and dropped a home contest to Barstow College by a score of 4-6. Emilia DeSanctis continued to be a work horse for the team as she recorded 10 strikeouts for the Coyotes.

Offensively the Coyotes have been lead by Kyla Collins (.397 avg, 7 HR) followed by Sara Calderas (.368 avg, 4 2B, 3 HR, 13 SB) and Tawny Ford (.320 avg, 5 2B). Following today's matchup, the Coyotes will head to Porterville College for a make-up contest and then return home to play host to Chaffey College at the Coyote Diamond.
