The Lady Coyotes had a tough day as they dropped two games to Merced College in their Central Valley Conference opener. Merced proved to be more than the Coyotes could handle as they went on to take the sweep Tuesday afternoon. However, the Coyote softball team would not go quietly as they battled all day. The team has demonstrated strength at the plate all season and have proven that they can give any opposing pitcher some concern. The team continues to develop their young pitching staff as they approach conference play which will be the difference moving forward. The team returns to action this Friday as they travel to Long Beach City college for a non-conference matchup.
