Cerro Coso Cross Country performs well at Mt. Sac Cross Country Invitational

The Cerro Coso Cross Country Teams competed at the world famous Mt Sac Cross Country Invitational. This course is famous for being an extremely challenging course.

 

Coach Slaymaker says, "Our Runners really rose to the occasion at today's event."

 

On the Women's side Genevieve Vogel ran a time of 28:25 setting a personal best and running the 2nd fastest Women's time in Cerro Coso history on an extremely tough course. Genevieve really shined at this race and her positive work ethic and attitude paid off in her running and outstanding race.

 

In the Men's Race 3 of 4 runners set or tied their personal best. Tristen Attakai again led the way with a PR and with a time of 25:04 on the 4 mile course. He was followed by Julian Ramos who had a time of 27:27, Leo Vazquez who beat his old PR by a huge 3 minutes with a time of 32:45, and Andrew Quackenbush who matched his PR with a time of 32:20.

 

"The group ran an incredibly complete team race and I was very proud! They are really finding their form heading into the conference meet!" recapped Coach Slaymaker.
