The Cerro Coso Community College Coyotes men's basketball team has once again demonstrated their prowess on the court, securing their fourth consecutive postseason appearance in the 2024-2025 season. With an impressive overall record of 19-9 and a commanding 13-3 mark during Inland Empire Athletic Conference play, the Coyotes have solidified their reputation as a formidable force in the league.

Throughout the season, the Coyotes showcased their resilience and determination, culminating in a strong finish winning 8 of their last 9 leading up to the playoffs. Their balanced performance, with an 10-3 record at home and an 9-3 record on the road, reflects their adaptability and strength in various competitive environments. 

In recognition of their outstanding performance, Cerro Coso earned a first round matchup at Cypress College. On the season, Cypress finished with 21-9 record which positioned them with the #10 seed in the south. 

This achievement marks a significant milestone for the Coyotes, as they continue to build upon their legacy of success. The team's consistent postseason appearances over the past four years are a testament to their hard work, strategic game play, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

As the Coyotes prepare to take on their playoff opponents, the college community and fans eagerly anticipate a thrilling and competitive game. The team's dedication and performance throughout the season have set the stage for what promises to be an exciting continuation of their playoff journey.

In addition to postseason preperations, a handful of Coyotes were recognized for the perfomance during the 2024-2025 season. Sophomores Trent Gordon and Jason Morris were recognized with a 1st team all IEAC selection, while Anthony Edouard and Jon Leggett were awarded 2nd team all conference selections.
