Coach Dugan Leads the Coyotes to #10 Ranking

The Coyote Basketball team has reached their highest ever CCCMBCA ranking with the #10 position in the latest poll released on November 21, 2023. The recent ranking comes off the heels of a tremendous 5-0 start to the 2023-24 season which includes huge wins over Moorpark and LA Southwest. Although the recognition is something to be proud of, Coach Dugan and his team know that much work is to be done in this young season. The Coyotes prepare to travel to Cuesta on 11/22 to take on the always tough Cougars. The Coyotes will then return to Ridgecrest for a 3 game home stand on December 1, 5, and 6.

Below is the excerpt from the CCCMBCA poll:

10. Cerro Coso (5-0) — Twenty-one days ago, Cerro Coso was unranked and probably considered a middle-of-the-pack team in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference. Today, Cerro Coso holds the state's top non-conference RPI ranking after posting wins over Moorpark and LA Southwest — by double digits. Those victories became bigger after Moorpark beat Fullerton and LA Southwest's upset of San Francisco. Cerro Coso begins a run on previously unranked teams moving into the state poll this week. Date worth circling: December 6 – Moorpark at Cerro Coso.
