The Yotes Baseball team dropped two of the three games this week against the Chaffey Panthers. In what was a hard-fought series against who would have the outright title of conference leader thus far in the season, the Yotes couldn't close out the series win. They walked off the Panthers in game one in an exciting ninth inning comeback, and had the favor returned to them on the road in game two as the Panthers also walked the Yotes off. Defense could not hold off the Chaffey bats in game three with a 4-error day combined with 11 walks on the pitching side coming back to defeat the Yotes.

However, the bats continue to shine for the Yotes as they outhit the Panthers 33-28 on the week. Kyle Phin delivered the walk-off single in the ninth inning in game one to score Ariel Rodriguez and Andres Vega. The Yotes also hit 9 doubles on the week. On the pitching side of things, the Yote pitchers were able to keep the Chaffey bats at bay for most of the series. Luis De Los Santos threw a gem of 6 innings striking out 5 and only allowing 2 hits in game 1. Kanon Welbourne came in the 8^th inning to close game 1 out throwing 2 innings and striking out 2 only allowing 1 hit. In game 2, SO Carson Lee threw a strong 4 innings, striking out 2 Panthers and allowing 0 runs.

The Yotes return home this week to face off against the San Bernardino Valley Wolverines. They are just a few games back from the conference lead and will hope for a strong series this week before the last portion of conference play ramps up with the remaining games being 1 game series against each conference opponent.
