The Cerro Coso Baseball team is off to a hot start to the 2024 season after picking up a 3 game sweep on opening weekend. The Coyotes played host to Ohlone College on Friday and Saturday, and then Rio Hondo College on Sunday. Both opponents are traditionally strong programs and the wins have helped to set the tone for the Coyotes as they charge forward during non-conference play.

On the weekend, the Coyotes benefited from a solid pitching rotation that was anchored by their starters, Jacob Rice, Brandon Donahue and Ian Rasmussen. Each starter was able to hand their respective game over to the bullpen and keep the game within striking distance and eventually win. The offense was lead by Cole Fowler who went 6-12 on the weekend and Seth Moore added a 5-14 weekend.

The Coyotes (3-0) will turn right around with a Tuesday home game as they play host to Imperial Valley (1-1).
