A Pair of Coyotes Sign With Four Year Schools

The Cerro Coso Baseball team is proud to announce the advancement of two players on to the four year level this week with the commitments of Jhonn Cabrera and Luis Reyes

Jhonn Cabrera- Oklahoma Panhandle State University

Jhonn Cabrera has committed to Oklahoma Panhandle State University to continue his education and collegiate baseball career. The second year player has been a consistent outfielder for the Coyotes that excelled in the classroom as well. Cabrera has exemplified his role as a student-athlete, as demonstrated by earning his A.A. this spring while maintaining his duties on the field. The outfielder posted a .320 batting average in spring 2021 with a double and homerun.

Luis Reyes- Louisiana State University Shreveport

Luis Reyes (a.k.a. Luigi), has anchored the middle infield over the past couple of seasons. Known for his nifty glove work on defense, Reyes also stepped up big at the plate for the Coyotes this spring. Reyes was near the top of most Coyote offensive categories hitting .368 with 9 doubles, 6 home runs, and 22 RBI's. Reyes will leave some big shoes to fill as he heads off to Louisiana State University Shreveport to continue his education and baseball career.

The Coyote Athletic Department recognizes the dedication and achievement of these two players and wish them the best on the pursuit of excellence. MAKE YOUR MARK!
