The Cerro Coso Coyote baseball team returns home after a double header sweep this week at Imperial Valley College by scores of 13-5 and 7-2. With the wins, the Coyotes move their record to 6-7 on the season. During Saturday's matchup against College of the Desert, the Coyotes will open up IEAC play and look to even out their season record. College of the Desert comes into the contest with a 3-13 record. This match up marks the opening weekend for the inaugural IEAC baseball season. The conference is the result of a realignment, and much work has been done to build for the future development of the conference in order to become a strength in Southern California.

For his efforts last week, Nicholas Erickson has been recognized as the IEAC player of the week, as well as the Junior College Baseball/CCCAA player of the week Nick went 6 for 10 with 2 doubles, HR, 5 RBIs, and 6 runs scored on the week. Congratulations Nick, Make Your Mark!
