Coach Scott on a mound visit

We have a busy week this week here at Cerro Coso with one Baseball event and two Softball events at home.

The Coyotes Baseball team will take on Mt. San Jacinto this week in a three game set with Tuesday being their lone home game this week at 2:30. They are coming off a good series against Barstow where they were able to complete the sweep on the week and they will hope to take that momentum into this week. The Yotes currently lead the IEAC with only one conference loss thus far. They also recently recieved a vote to break the top 20 in the South in the most recent CCCBCA coaches vote.

The Lady Coyotes Softball will be taking on Mt. San Jacinto as well at home on Wednesday when they take on the Eagles in double header fashion. This will be their second IEAC series and they will look to get back in the win column and gain momentum as conference goes on. They will also be taking on Victor Valley at home on Friday in another double header IEAC matchup.

On a dull note, the Coso Women's Basketball team's season came to an end on Saturday when they fell to the #1 OCC in their sweet 16 matchup. They had a historic season going undefeated at home, taking second in the IEAC, climbing as high as #13 in the state, and earning a first round bye in this years playoffs. Congratuations to the Lady Coyotes on making a huge impact in thier first season returning to campus.

We hope to see the Yote faithful this week at our Baseball and Softball events as we are in the heart of thier seasons!
