Cerro Coso Volleyball traveled to Taft College Wednesday night to earn a CVC win against a formidable Cougars Volleyball team. The Coyotes came out on fire to win the first game, but the Cougars came charging back and took the next two games. After a grueling fourth set win for the Coyotes at 26-24, Cerro Coso sealed the deal with a 15-12 fifth set win. With the win, the Coyotes move to 8-3 overall and 4-1 in conference putting them in third place in the CVC. The Coyotes have also been generating some attention at the state level for the second straight week with recognition for their efforts as they attempt to crack the top 25 poll. Cerro Coso remains on the road as they travel to West Hills Lemoore to continue conference play on Friday.
