The Lady Coyotes return home after a long week on the road last week. In an unusual week of travel, the road weary Coyote Softball team traveled to COS, Merced and Taft last week. The culmination of their week took them to Taft College, where the Lady Coyotes were three outs away from victory. In back and forth contest that put the teams into a 4-4 tie leading into the seventh inning, the Coyotes needed someone to step up and provide the offense. Victoria Placencia answered the bell in a big way, as she hit the go ahead homerun in the top of the frame giving Cerro Coso a 5-4 lead, however that lead would be short lived. Taft was able to return the favor in the bottom of the seventh as the game once again became tied, Taft parked the walk-off homer to win the game and send the Coyotes home after an emotion filled contest.
