The Coyote Men's Basketball (16-6, 6-5) team is set to host the IEAC leader, Chaffey College (18-5, 11-0) at the Raymond McCue Gymnasium this Wednesday, with a 6:00 pm tipoff. To this point of the season, Chaffey College has been running away with the conference lead with a perfect 11-0 record. The Coyote's have hopes of slowing them down at home on Wednesday, which is becoming increasingly necessary in order to keep Coso's playoff chances alive. As advertised, the IEAC men's basketball lineup has been extremely competitive, and it has been a dogfight between teams to grab the top three positions. Coming into tonight's contest the standings are as follows: (1) Chaffey 11-0, (2) MSJC 8-3, (3) SBVC 7-3, (Tied at 4) Coso 6-5, COD 6-5, VVC 6-5. The Coyote's are in preparation for the final stretch of the season which will reveal the make up of their program, as they have settled in to a consistent mix of relying on second season experience but have also become increasingly dependent on the development of key freshman in the line up. Coach Dugan is tasked with finding a way to bring this group together and stay focused in the home stretch. The Coyote's final home game of the 2019-20 season will be February 15th against Palo Verde CC, tipoff will be at 2:00 pm.
