The Coyote Basketball Team improves to 10-1, on the season and 1-0 in the IEAC with a convincing win over Barstow College 104-79 Wednesday night. With the win, the Coyotes increase their streak to 10 straight. The home opener also marked the inaugural game for the IEAC men's basketball conference. The high energy game was filled with long range three's and explosive dunks by Vernon Hardison (13 pts.) and Alex Dieudonne (14 pts.). The Coyotes jumped all over the Vikings early by a 15 point margin, but the Vikings came roaring back to bring the halftime score to 44-40. However the second half would be a different story for the Coyotes, as Coach Dugan rallied his team to score 60 in the second half and finish the game with a decisive 25 point margin to victory. Cerro Coso was lead by Jordan Pumphrey (26 pts.) and Isiah Thomas (22 pts.). Cerro Coso will take a short holiday break but return to action with a New Year's home game at 2:00 pm vs. Mt. San Antonio, followed by a January 2, 6:00pm game vs. Victor Valley and a January 4 contest at 3:00 vs. Mt. San Jacinto. It is sure to be an action packed week, so come out and Run With the Pack, admission is free.
