Behind a strong performance by starting pitcher Diego Delgado, the Coyotes were able to hold off the Victor Valley Rams at home Thursday afternoon to earn a 1-2 win. With the win, the Coyotes move to 4-2 on the season. Delgado battled all afternoon, and with his ability to go deep into the game, he was able to save the Cerro Coso bullpen for Friday's double header against Imperial Valley. Offensively, the Coyotes were led by Tyler Stokes going 2 for 3 on the afternoon and scored a run when Cole Martin stroked a double in the bottom of the fourth inning. The second run for the Coyotes came when Dante Farr-Collins scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the sixth. The Coyotes return to double header action on Friday as they host Imperial Valley for a 12:00 (7 inning) and 3:00 (7 inning) start.
