The Coyotes host Merced this weekend, Friday at 5:00 pm and Saturday at 12:00 pm, both games will be broadcast on Stretch Internet Radio and can be found at the following link: https://portal.stretchinternet.com/cerrocoso/ 

This weekend wraps up the the three game series between Cerro Coso and Merced CC. Game one, played at Merced was tightly contested game which resulted in the score of Merced 6 - Cerro Coso 1. The Coyotes struck first in the top of the third when Caleb Johnson (.311) singled to score Rey Torres (.264) who was reached on a double. However the Coyotes only held the lead for an inning when Merced scored in the bottom of the first. The 1-1 tie was broken in the seventh inning as Merced scored a single run again and did not relinquish the lead as they scored four more in the eighth.  

The weekend matchup will be Cerro Coso's home CVC opener for 2018. The Coyotes enter the game with a record of 9-9 overall, 0-1 in conference. The Blue Devils enter the weekend with a 12-6 record overall, 1-0 in conference.
