The Cerro Coso Coyote Baseball team went 2 and 2 on the week with a double header sweep over Imperial Valley, and losses to Chaffey and San Diego City.

vs. Chaffey- The Coyotes managed 4-3 lead through 5 innings over Chaffey but couldn't hold on late in the game for the win. Toshiki Aburaki started on the mound and gave 4 strong innings for the Coyotes but a high pitch count forced him out of the game. Chaffey came on strong to finish the game winning by a margin of 11-5. Offensive highlights for the Coyotes included Corey Young going 2-5 with a HR, 3RBI, Marcial Hernandez 3-4, and Solomon Maddox 2-5 with 1 RBI.

vs. Imperial Valley- The Coyotes completed a sweep over visiting Imperial Valley. Game one went to the Coyotes 11-4 and featured a gutsy performance by pitcher Tyson Banks. Banks through a complete 7 inning game giving up 4 runs and striking out 8. He was able to hold off Imperial Valley long enough to allow his offense to get into a rythm and put up a season high 11 runs.

vs. Imperial Valley- The night cap of the double header ended in exciting fashion. Going into the seventh inning and the score tied at 7-7, Solomon Maddox stepped into the box with one out and the winning run in Corey Young standing on third. Maddox made solid contact on a pitch down in the zone resulting in a line drive over the shortstop's head allowing Young to cross the plate. Eric Alicea started the game for the Coyotes and gave 4 strong innings, but the win was credited to Diego Delgado who proved to be solid in a relieving role giving up zero runs and closing out the final 3 innings.

vs. San Diego City- The late inning woes caught up to the Coyotes in their matchup against San Diego City. The game was tightly contested as starting pitcher Cole Martin gave a solid seven inning, one allowed run performance. With the game tied 1-1, and heading into the bottom of the 8th, the Coyotes just couldn't hold off the offensive attack of the Knights, as the scored the final 3 runs of the game resulting in a 1-4 Coyote loss. However, Coach Scott is not deterred by the performance of his squad as the game was well played by the Coyotes and he looks forward to getting back onto the field to face Chaffey on Tuesday.
